My friend Fernando
At the beginning of 2022, I took on the task of giving several writing and art projects—some of them dating back to the early twenties—their final form as easily accessible books published in open editions. They are all different written and artistic treatments of the same essential theme: the absolute necessity of a revolution in personal consciousness.
At this point in time, those willing to admit and yield to this necessity are still relatively few because it implies abandoning the identity and sense of security and continuity belonging to particular groups and organizations (both secular and religious) grants. However, the steady worsening of the state of mental, social, and ecological disorder in which humanity finds itself is steadily increasing the number of those who are sensitive to the enormous suffering that stems from this cumulative and pervasive disorder and, hence, willing to let themselves be radically transformed by this sensitivity.
Individuals who are already discontent with themselves and the cultures that have created them will find these books to be a source of consoling corroboration and perhaps some orientation. Conversely, for those who are still, for the most part, content with their place in the general web of cultural and psychological predetermination, they may appear absurd or outright dangerous, but perhaps only initially. A little patience on their part may facilitate acceptance of the invitation these books are meant to deliver to seek an entirely different mode of being human, an unprecedented mental stance on which hinges the very survival of the species.
