Hashnu Stones & Gems provides faceting instruction for our students in the following ways.
LessonsWe provide one-on-one faceting lessons at our Ithaca, NY based studio or remote lessons via Zoom. Our lesson plans are individually tailored to your current level of faceting, from beginner to fantasy faceting, and are set to accomplish your faceting goals. You will learn on state-of-the-art Ultra Tec faceting and Fantasy equipment and other studio lapidary equipment. Contact us and we will work with you to create a faceting gemstone experience of a lifetime. We teach you how to facet and complete a gemstone in a four-day lesson package.

We will consult with you over the phone or Zoom/FaceTime to help you select the correct ULTRA TEC machine and accessories and will guide you to our favorite faceting suppliers for the best faceting laps and faceting sundries.

Hashnu Stones & Gems is a supplier of fine quality gem rough and just as we consult with you about your equipment purchase, we can also discuss and advise you in regard to gem rough for your faceting needs. Our rough is always economically priced and ranges from professional, hobby, and cabochon grades.

There are certain supplies that you will need to optimize your faceting enjoyment. We work with our favorite manufactures and suppliers of top hobby and professional faceting equipment to provide you with recommendations on everything you will need to explore your new faceting journey. We work with our favorite suppliers to make sure that you will get everything you need at a reasonable price. In order to ensure the best price, Hashnu does not receive any compensation from these suppliers. You will receive a list of recommended equipment and supplies from us during the Purchase Consultation phase of your ULTRA TEC faceting machine.
